"Missing piece found to help solve concussion puzzle" by University of Pittsburgh Schools of the Health Sciences

University of Pittsburgh Schools of the Health Sciences reports that there is a new concussion test that is more reliable and more consistent than any test right now. This test is called vestibular/ocular motor screening (VOMS). The VOMS test is a 5-10 minute test that is right 90% of the time! The VOMS test is also very simple, it requires a tape measure, metronome, clinical examination, and symptom evaluation. Even better about this test is it is very cheap and very simple to use. This test has been tested and compared to many of the usual tests and it has far surpassed them on quality, consistency and speed. Soon these tests will be used everywhere.

This test will be game changing for the brain injury area. I have had multiple concussions and never heard of anything that works like this. It is easy to use, quick, and gets the job done well. The only thing better is a $1,000 ct scan, much more expensive than the $50 VOMS test. This is a great way to tell if you have a concussion because it is 90% of the time correct. Another good thing about this VOMS test is that it record the symptoms that will clearly mean you have a concussion. Out of all the concussion tests I have read about and i have had this one sound the best, most reliable and cheapest it doesn't get much better.

  1. Great! I hope it catches on, since concussions are so common.
