According to Tufts University, the brain can be trained to prefer healthy foods rather then unhealthy foods. “Scientist have suspected that, once unhealthy food addiction circuits are established, they may be hard or impossible to reverse.” To better understand food addiction, Susan B. Roberts and her colleagues at Tufts University studied thirteen overweight men and women. Out of the thirteen participants, eight participates were enrolled in Tufts University new weight loss program and five participants were not enrolled. The study lasted for six months. At the end, the participants who were enrolled in the weight loss program showed decreased craving for unhealthy food. The test showed that is possible to train your brain to prefer healthy foods over unhealthy foods without doing dangerous things (Tufts University, 2014).
I thought that this article was very interesting because it showed how your brain can switch form thinking about unhealthy foods to healthy foods. It makes me wonder about how many people this study could help. It could decrease the amount of overweight people in the US. One thing that I learned form this article was that it is possible to prefer healthier foods without having to get dangerous surgeries.

Interesting! I wonder what the weight loss program did. Was it a really strict diet (and if so what did they eat)? Or exercise as well? I hope it can change people's cravings. It seems that the cravings are the hardest obstacle for a lot of people.
